A Note on Charitable Tax Receipts
As a volunteer-run organization, we strive to keep our workload manageable. Therefore, if you are donating via Interac email money transfer or cheque, we issue charitable tax receipts only to Canadian residents whose annual TSO donations total $25.00 or greater during the calendar year. If you make a donation through ATBcares, you will receive a Canadian tax receipt for donations of any amount. (Please read Donation Terms & Conditions below for full details.)
Donation Terms and Conditions
If you are a Canadian taxpayer, you will normally receive a tax receipt (PDF file accessible by email) with respect to applicable donations made by you to The Strongest Oak Foundation (TSO) during a calendar year as soon as practicable and, in any event, within two (2) months after the end of that year. The relevant date of the tax receipt will be the Donation Date in the taxation year in which the amounts were donated to TSO. Please note that if you do not provide the information necessary for TSO to generate a receipt on or before December 31 in any calendar year, you may not be entitled to a receipt for donations made in that year.
Notwithstanding anything contained in the TSO website, or the issuance of any tax receipts in your name by or on behalf of TSO, in no event shall TSO be liable to you for any direct or indirect damages, including without limitation any tax, interest, fines, damages, penalties or other levies imposed by any taxing, governmental or other regulatory authority arising from or in connection with any donation to TSO, whether online or otherwise. You must consult your own tax and legal advisors respecting the actual tax or other impact of donations made by you through TSO.
